Discord is beginning to test YouTube integration. This comes just a few days after Google’s YouTube shut down two of the most popular Discord music bots off the service. YouTube integration is now appearing on a limited number of Discord servers in what is believed to be a brand new trial of a partnership among Discord with YouTube.
The feature is dubbed Watch Together, and as the name suggests it lets Discord members to view YouTube video clips together. A similar test of the Discord feature was launched about a year ago before it was wiped out and then re-surfacing with the name Watch Together today, and we have heard that the company is re-prioritizing this specific feature due to the recent shutdowns of music bots.

The introduction of advertisements and the potential for revenue opportunities for Google-owned YouTube is just a few weeks after YouTube started aggressively closing off Discord musical bots. The Google-owned firm sent an lawful cease-and-desist message for Groovy Bot in the month of September and forced the service to cease operations within a matter of days. YouTube has since turned its focus to the most well-known Discord music-bot, Rythm, and it was shut down earlier this month. So Rythm bot discord will not work anymore
We know that it is being released for Discord members and friends right now and will be followed by a larger beta for small servers, and then wider availability in the coming weeks.
