The new Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3 Xbox DLC is not the next gen update that we all wanted to hear about and it is lacking new actual content, but it is bug fixing and improving the performance even further. The question is “is it enough for now?”
I love Cyberpunk 2077
I love the Cyberpunk 2077 world and the game is good, but it was released pre maturely and we all know that. The past is done and hopefully we won’t have it with games like Halo Infinite or the new next big thing. The thing that we should be talking about now is the future of Cyberpunk 2077.
I believe the game is good enough that it can recover and make it to be a great open world alternative to GTA V and others. I have put the past of Cyberpunk 2077 behind me and I want to see it flourish and I think this update is a good sign that the game is not dead!
The game was left with the news that it will receive an update at the end of the year and it would be the next gen update and yes we are close to the end of the year, but not yet, so I believe we can still see it or at least see some 1 year anniversary content that will be actually good.
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3 Xbox DLC
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3 Xbox DLC is simple and honestly looks to be what the game should have released with on day one at the very least. This update includes some new shirts, new car, lower price for resetting your skill points and a new look for Johny Silverhand.
I personally focus on the fact that there is now a “DLC” or “downloadable content” tab in the menu which tab represents that there is future content to come. The question is how big and how good? The developers kept saying that it will be The Witcher 3 levels of DLC, but we can only hope and trust them, but it is hard to trust a company that the executive team seem to have thrown away one, if not, the biggest loyalty batch of fans under the bus that could rival Nintendo levels of dedication.
Let Us Know That The Game is not dead
I believe that the stream the CDProjekt Red team did was to let us know that the game is not dead and they are truly working on stuff is just that with all the hacks and COVID19 related issues, aggravated by the fact that the executives forced the game to release to early the developers are now finally caught up and from here we should see the true Cyberpunk 2077 game that it should had been since day 1.
Check out the video included with the article to see for yourself the performance of this game now on all Xbox consoles and let me tell you in short that on all Xbox consoles I can agree with the statement from the CDProjekt Red CEO that the game is “performing at acceptable” levels, except on the Xbox One S.
I would argue that for new players and players that haven’t put more than 20 hours into the game the Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.3 Xbox DLC is good enough, but for the others that have been into it deeper than that it is not and I think we aren’t getting something to pull us back in until the next gen patch releases.
The next gen patch is probably releasing, but what if it is the end? What if the next gen patch is the last big thing we see Cyberpunk 2077 deliver before going into a Dead or Alive 6 state of limbo where it just exists to rack up some cash while they work on other games?
I personally don’t want that and hope they don’t, because I really like the game and the world it build. I think the game was made with love and care and it delivered a not too politicized gaming world that the further we go in time the less of it we will see in gaming.
